Ogof Foel Fawr Photos ogof.org.uk

Ogof Foel Fawr is situated near the top of the hill above Herbert's Quarry on the Brynamman to Llangadog road (map). From the cave entrance you descend into a large passage, which leads to an awkward climb down into a blind pit and is followed by a climb up into a passage that soon degenerates into a series of crawls and squeezes. A very tight squeeze over a fallen slab leads to a final awkward squeeze through a perched calcite pool to link into Ogof Pasg and affords a through trip for the slim and agile caver.
